Additional information (safety):

What’s a Low Ropes Course?
Generally speaking low ropes activities involve traversing a distance using limited available resources, e.g., jumping across stepping stones or walking on a tight wire whilst holding onto a rope tied at one end to a tree. Low Ropes activities usually take place below 2 meters in height.  Therefore, no safety rope is needed, but many activities do involve "spotting" (using people with arms out to catch). Qualified instructors who will provide for safety concerns and brief you on each and every element will supervise you.

What’s a High Ropes Course?
The Kippure Corporate ropes course is located in our private estate overlooking beautiful mountain scenery and is situated amongst towering trees. The elements on the ropes course have been constructed using these tall trees and blend naturally into the surrounding landscape.  All of our high elements are suspended from 11 metres (35 feet) to 17 metres (55 feet) above the ground. The views from these high elements are spectacular!

What’s a Sky Trek
The concept of a sky trek allows participants to move independently along a series of elements in a linear or continual course, un-belayed, being responsible for your own safety, clipping and un-clipping from one stage to the next… at your own speed!

Safety & Insurance:
Participants taking part in high ropes activities are individually fitted with helmets and harnesses and secured to ropes or wires so that they are 100% safe at all times. Safety is always our number one priority!  All our staff are mature, appropriately qualified and experienced professionals with excellent people skills.  Participants are covered by our €2.5 million public liability insurance in the highly unlikely event of negligence by one of our employees.  The Kippure Corporate High Ropes Course conforms to the European Standard 12572 for "Artificial Climbing Structures".  Our High Ropes, Low Ropes and Sky Trek Structure was built by one of Europe's leading ropes course construction companies.
